Southwest DC's eclectic Friday night market returns with a diverse mix of art, crafts, handmade jewelry, accessories, bath and beauty goods, and vintage and antique furnishings.
On stage, local musicians and DJs curate a mix of live music and inviting evening soundtracks. Additionally, specialty food businesses, a fully-stocked beer garden, a cigar lounge, and select food trucks add to the programming mix.

As Farmers MarketSW has continued through the winter months in reduced participation, we are excited to welcome back familiar farmers and producers for the Market Season on Saturday April 5th 2025.
As a critical site for residents to access fresh and seasonal foods from local farmers and food producers, Farmers Market SW remains a vital community space on the corner of 4th and M ST SW.

Farmers Market SW Kicks Off Spring Season April 5th.
Farmers MarketSW, the popular Saturday morning farmers market in Southwest DC is now accepting applications from quality food and farm businesses for the weekly Saturday market in SW DC. Opening April 5 and running every Saturday from 9AM to 1PM through December 20, the market offers baked goods, coffee, jams/jellies, prepared foods, pasture-raised meats & eggs, and locally grown fresh produce.
Returning for its 9th year on May 2nd from 4pm-10pm, Market SW, the beloved night market at Southwest Waterfront will once again provide a splash of culture, shopping, entertainment, food & beverages, and outdoor community-engaged fun to the corner of 4th and M Street SW. The market will continue every other Friday through September 19th. The event, with support from the SWBID, continues its popularity as a Friday night staple on the Southwest Waterfront.
With an inviting mix of local and creative businesses, food trucks, live music, a fully stocked beer garden, colorful lights, and family-friendly activities, each market creates a lively atmosphere of a neighborhood outdoor living room. The market, directly across the street from Waterfront Station Metro and near Arena Stage, attracts hundreds of weekly shoppers including families, young professionals, and home-owning seniors from the surrounding community.
The neighborhood is home to a wide selection of recreational, cultural, and park destinations, including the main campus of the Smithsonian Institution along the National Mall, and The Wharf. There is also adjacent and near-by public parking.

Opening April 5 and running every Saturday from 9AM to 1PM through December 20, the market offers baked goods, coffee, jams/jellies, prepared foods, pasture-raised meats & eggs, and locally grown fresh produce.
Throughout winter a handful of farmers and food producers have remained dedicated to providing fresh and healthy food options to the community. The steady support of the neighborhood through sun, snow, rain, and wind has cemented Farmers MarketSW's valuable role on the corner of 4th and M St SW. In April, we welcome back a full lot of producers, small businesses, and community organizations.
Now entering its ninth market season, the market attracts hundreds of weekly shoppers from the surrounding community. The rapidly growing area, including the Wharf, newly completed apartment buildings, and new area amenities over the past years are adding critical density -- and the market has grown significantly. It's a nice neighborhood market that attracts families, young professionals and home-owning seniors in the area. The market also goes above and beyond to offer support to low-income shoppers through various voucher programs and federal nutrition assistance.

In addition to the return of Ochoa Farms with their bounty of farm fresh fruits and produce, Ashton Farms with continue their participation with locally-harvested produce, orchard fruits and sought-after apple cider. Freshly-baked, handmade pantry items and a cornacopia of market staples can be bought from Panorama Bakery, Believe n' Bread, Vida Salsa, Bamm's Sauce, Howell's Select, and fan favorite Atlixco's Mexican Grill with their the griddle churning out breakfast burritos, as well as hot coffee and fresh drinks.
