Southwest DC's eclectic Friday night market returns with a diverse mix of art, crafts, handmade jewelry, accessories, bath and beauty goods, and vintage and antique furnishings.

On stage, local musicians and DJs curate a mix of live music and inviting evening soundtracks. Additionally, specialty food businesses, a fully-stocked beer garden, a cigar lounge, and select food trucks add to the programming mix.

Farmers Market SW continues throughout 2024

As Farmers MarketSW has continued through the winter months in reduced participation, we are excited to welcome back familiar farmers and producers for the Market Season on Saturday April 6th 2024.
After a challenging year in 2020, Farmers Market SW is permitted to operate as an essential business with COVID-19 precautionary measures still in effect. As a critical site for residents to access fresh and seasonal foods from local farmers and food producers, Farmers Market SW remains a vital community space on the corner of 4th and M ST SW.

Farmers MarketSW, the popular Saturday morning farmers market in Southwest DC will kick off the Spring season April 6.

Throughout winter a handful of farmers and food producers have remained dedicated to providing fresh and healthy food options to the community. The steady support of the neighborhood through sun, snow, rain, and wind has cemented Farmers MarketSW's valuable role on the corner of 4th and M St SW.

Situated on the Lot at 4th and M Streets SW, MarketSW is now entering its fifth season in the commercial center of the Southwest neighborhood across from the Waterfront Metro Station (green line), Safeway, the popular restaurants Station 4 and All About Burger. There is plenty of public parking among major office buildings, apartments and the thriving Southwest neighborhood.

The Friday night market and Saturday farmers market attracts hundreds of weekly shoppers including families, young professionals and home-owning seniors from the surrounding community. The neighborhood is home to a wide selection of recreational, cultural, and park destinations, including the main campus of the Smithsonian Institution along the National Mall, the Wharf, Culture House and Arena Stage.Mall, the Wharf, Culture House and Arena Stage.

With an inviting mix of creative businesses, food trucks, live music, a fully-stocked beer garden, colorful lights, and family-friendly activities, each market creates evokes the lively feeling of a neighborhood outdoor living room.

Farmers Market SW Kicks Off Spring Season April 6th

Farmers MarketSW, the popular Saturday morning farmers market in Southwest DC will kick off the Spring season April 6. Throughout winter a handful of farmers and food producers have remained dedicated to providing fresh and healthy food options to the community. The steady support of the neighborhood through sun, snow, rain, and wind has cemented Farmers MarketSW's valuable role on the corner of 4th and M St SW.

In April, we welcome back a full lot of producers, small businesses, and community organizations.

Open 9am to 1pm, customers will be pleased to see the return of Ochoa Farms with their bounty of farm fresh fruits and produce. They join Ashton Farms with locally-harvested produce, orchard fruits and sought-after apple cider. Freshly-baked, handmade pantry items and a ornacopia of market staples can be bought from Panorama Bakery, Believe n' Bread, Vida Salsa, Bamm's Sauce, Howell's Select, Tae Gu Kimchi, Pickles & Cures and fan favorite Atlixco's Mexican Grill with their the griddle churning out breakfast burritos, as well as hot coffee and fresh drinks.

The NoMa Farmers Market Returns

DMM, with its partners at the NoMa Business Improvement District, are pleased to announce the return of the farmers market in the NoMa neighborhood of NE DC relaunching launch on Thursday, May 2.

The NoMa Farmers Market has been located in one of DC’s largest and newest parks, Alethia Tanner Park, in the Eckington neighborhood north of New York Avenue NE at 227 Harry Thomas Way, NE.

This season The NoMa BID is expecting to move the Farmers Market to 3rd Street, South of New York Avenue, across from the popular Union Market district.

The market will operate on Thursdays from 4-8pm each week from May through October. DMM is seeking farmers, ranchers, producers, and qualified food vendors only for this new venue. Applications are now being accepted on the DMM website. For more information and/or to express interest, email us
